About Laura

Why choose her for your training needs?

Laura is an award-winning Training & Development professional, with over 22 years of experience as a Training Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as experience as an external training consultant. Her passion and enthusiasm for creating the right learning environment for her delegates is second to none. Delegates leave Laura’s courses enlightened and confident in their subject matter having enjoyed the learning process. This is an essential part of her training ethos.

Laura specialises in engaging her course participants by making complicated concepts and models simple to understand and exciting to learn. This subject matter can vary from the sensitive issue of mental health, to pharmaceutical therapy areas, the participant’s own characteristics and behaviour, or even the complexity of the immune system!

Laura is an accredited instructor member approved by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England to deliver their adult mental health first aid courses, and her knowledge and training experience covers numerous mental health therapy areas including depression, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia and alcohol dependency. This, along with her natural empathy and many years of training in communication skills and coaching skills, lends itself to exceptional mental health first aid training from her.

As well as training in communication and coaching skills, Laura is an ILM level 3 accredited coach and a certified NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) Practitioner. NLP is the study of maximising excellent communication: – both with yourself (internal “self-talk”), and with others. Therefore, the set of tools and techniques within this programme truly enhance Laura’s ability to communicate effectively with her participants in order to achieve their learning goals.

As an accredited Insights Discovery provider, Laura trains people to use an easy to understand colour concepts model of personality styles. This helps people to understand themselves better as individuals AND to communicate better with others who have different behaviour styles.
